Role Definition
"Information governance" encompasses the oversight of compliance obligations related to the ethical management of information that is received, stored, utilized, or disseminated by the company.

This role is crucial in aligning various compliance requirements from multiple domains, including data privacy, information security, contractual obligations, intellectual property, corporate policies, AI compliance, and commercial standards.

Key Responsibilities
As the Director of Information Governance & Data Privacy, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our Digital Enablement division adheres to exemplary standards of data privacy and governance.

  • Design and lead the rollout of comprehensive policies and procedures for information governance and data privacy.
  • Collaborate with teams in commercial strategy, product innovation, engineering, and marketing to embed data privacy principles into new technology and campaign designs.
  • Assess and support the integration of privacy-enhancing technologies to protect consumer and healthcare professional data.
  • Provide expertise in advertising technology and digital media analytics, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations.
  • Conduct regular privacy impact assessments and audits to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Develop and implement training programs to educate staff on best practices in data privacy and information governance.
  • Lead and support the dissemination of approved communications to raise awareness and educate teams on information governance and data privacy.
  • Act as the primary liaison for data privacy inquiries and manage protocols for data breach responses.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends in data privacy legislation and technologies to maintain industry-leading standards.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to promote understanding of information governance responsibilities and facilitate the adoption of best practices.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather and comprehend information governance requirements.
  • Support the Enterprise Information Governance & Privacy Board by identifying opportunities for centralized policy development and improvement metrics.

Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required. An advanced degree and relevant certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
