Cybersecurity Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Analyst III to join our team at the State of Maine. As a key member of our Vulnerability Management team, you will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and remediating cyber threats to our systems, networks, and software designs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy, manage, and maintain enterprise cybersecurity toolsets
- Review new systems for security risks and recommend mitigations or countermeasures
- Develop and manage metrics to understand vulnerability trends and insights
- Assist team members with ticket queue management and provide cybersecurity partnerships with business teams
- Coordinate architecture and engineering activities with other IT teams and internal organizations
Requirements:
- 10 years of information security experience with a focus on risk analysis, vulnerability assessment, and security testing
- Knowledge of Windows or Linux systems and associated scripting languages
- Experience with AWS or Azure cloud environments and vulnerability testing products
- Relevant technical security certifications a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4-year college degree in computer science or a related field with advanced study preferred
