Assembly Specialist

The Assembly Specialist at Cook Group is responsible for following established procedures for product assembly, fabrication, cleaning, packaging, labeling, equipment operation, and safety requirements as documented in the company's quality system.
Key Responsibilities- Product Assembly and Fabrication: Read, understand, and follow specifications for products being manufactured, and fabricate raw materials into specified products using various mechanical and/or manual techniques.
- Quality Control: Perform various inspections and/or testing as required, and ensure accurate completion of necessary documentation.
- Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Follow all quality system documents, report to work punctually, and perform routine maintenance on certain machinery used in production.
- Training and Development: Provide training of production personnel, assist in introducing new or improved products into production, and provide input to supervisor/manager to improve department operation and efficiency.
- Problem-Solving and Communication: Identify and report possible preventative and corrective actions, and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Physical Demands: Good manual dexterity, ability to occasionally lift a maximum of 30 pounds, and majority of day spent in a Controlled Environment with special gowning/clothing and hygiene requirements.
- Skills and Abilities: Ability to read, write, and understand product documentation and specification drawings, basic computer entry/retrieval skills, and well-developed eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity skills.
