- Participate in the analysis of unit-based service outcomes and develop action plans to improve quality and safety.
- Ensure adherence to The Joint Commission standards and educate team members on related standards.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Serve as a role model for effective communication with patients and staff.
- Facilitate resolution of conflicts and concerns.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth patient flow and discharge planning.
- Staff Development and Management
- Provide individual coaching and counseling to clinical staff on critical processes and standards.
- Contribute to the completion of annual evaluations and participate in the disciplinary process.
- Participate in the interview and hiring process for new team members.
- Certifications
- Basic Life Support
- Specialty certification (as required by unit) within 12 months of hire
- Licensure
- Licensed Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- Experience
- 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse
- Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (or Associate's Degree RN within 1 year of completing their BSN)
