Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Dietitian to join our team at Triad Adult and Pediatric Medicine, Inc. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide comprehensive nutrition and health education services to patients with various medical and nutritional problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide independent analysis of clients' medical conditions and create treatment plans in concert with an interdisciplinary team approach.
  • Interpret medical and laboratory information and discuss hospital-referred treatment plans, applying them to the home environment.
  • Counsel patients and families on healthy food choices and physical activity, maintaining a database of counseled patients.
  • Plan patient care independently or in concert with an interdisciplinary team, meeting objectives and goals as directed by supervisors.
  • Develop resources, such as handouts, newsletters, and teaching tools, and forms as assigned and directed.
  • Communicate regularly with providers on all patients and families enrolled in the program.
  • Provide consultative services to school nurses, fitness program staff, and other change agents.
  • Assist with special research projects, gathering comprehensive health education data and statistics, and making proposals as needed.
Requirements
  • Master's degree with two years of work experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Current NC Driver's License.
Work Environment

Job duties are performed in normal medical office working conditions, with exposure to patients with communicable diseases and blood-borne pathogens. All necessary protective measures will be provided.

Mental attention or visual demand is necessary for keyboard operations at least 50% of the time, with normal or corrected hearing required.

Safety of others depends entirely on the correct action of the employee on the job being rated, with errors potentially resulting in serious or fatal repercussions for the patient.

The employee must understand and help enforce the meaning of quality improvement, promoting a Patient-Centered Medical Home and incorporating core components into their position on a daily basis.
