Job Summary

Position Type: PRN - Various Hours and Shifts

As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will operate under general supervision to conduct routine and specialized cardiac sonographic examinations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Competence: Demonstrate proficiency in cardiac sonography across diverse patient demographics. Select appropriate equipment and technical parameters tailored to individual patient needs, ensuring care is suitable for the patient's age.
  • Knowledge Application: Utilize your understanding of cardiac sonography principles, including anatomy, physiology, and patient care skills. Execute high-level disinfection procedures to comply with infection prevention standards and adhere to regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Documentation: Accurately record patient care activities in various electronic health record systems.
  • Work Environment Maintenance: Ensure a safe and suitable work environment. Manage supplies and inventory effectively, notifying colleagues when orders are necessary. Report any equipment or environmental issues in accordance with established policies.
  • Performance Improvement: Actively engage in departmental and organizational initiatives aimed at enhancing workflows, patient experiences, and overall quality. Participate in training and educational activities for students and staff.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Educational Program.

Experience:

  • No prior experience required.

Licensure/Certifications:

  • RDMS Certification or CCI Certification.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification.

Preferred Experience:

  • One or more years of relevant experience.
