Job Title: Diagnostic Sonographer - PRNJob Summary

The University of Maryland Medical System is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Sonographer to join our team on a PRN basis. As a Diagnostic Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized sonographic procedures, ensuring accurate diagnoses, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute basic clinical competence in Sonography, selecting accurate equipment and technical factors for individual patient needs.
  • Apply knowledge of Sonography principles and practices, including anatomy and physiology, physics, positioning, and patient care skills.
  • Document accurate patient care activity in various electronic health records systems.
  • Ensure a safe and appropriate work environment, maintaining supplies and inventory, and reporting equipment/environmental problems.
  • Participate in departmental and organizational performance improvement initiatives, contributing to improved workflows, patient experience, and quality.
Qualifications
  • Graduation from an approved and accredited Ultrasound Educational Program.
  • RDMS Certification and Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification.
  • Preferred: 1+ year of experience in Diagnostic Sonography.
