Senior Property Accountant - Residential Division

AccrueTalent is in search of a Senior Property Accountant to oversee the financial operations for a diverse portfolio of multifamily assets within our Residential Division. This position entails the management of the general ledger, revenue recognition, expense accruals, and the preparation of monthly financial statements. Additionally, you will be involved in budgeting, forecasting, profit and loss assessments, and the quarterly consolidation of financial reports.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and scrutinize daily journal entries.
  • Oversee month-end closing activities.
  • Facilitate quarterly consolidation of financial information.
  • Provide accounting support for Funds, including fair value assessments and yield calculations.
  • Assist in the formulation of the annual budget.
  • Coordinate documentation for annual audits.
  • Analyze financial metrics and assist with special projects as needed.

Essential Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of internal controls related to real estate operations.
  • Expertise in GAAP, modified cash basis, and cash basis accounting principles.
  • Familiarity with investment accounting methodologies (Cost, Equity, Consolidation).
  • Outstanding organizational abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and effective time management skills.
  • Experience with property management ERP systems and software.

Educational Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline is mandatory.
