Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement a comprehensive grant-seeking strategy aligned with the organization's mission and objectives
* Identify potential funding sources, including foundations, government agencies, corporations, and other grant-making entities
* Research and track grant opportunities, staying informed about relevant grant programs and deadlines
* Write compelling grant proposals and applications that effectively communicate the organization's mission, goals, and impact
* Collaborate with program managers and other team members to gather data and information needed for grant proposals
* Ensure that grant applications are submitted accurately and on time
* Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with current and potential grantors
* Engage in regular communication with grant-making organizations to strengthen partnerships and explore collaboration opportunities
* Represent the organization at relevant networking events and conferences

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in a related field or relevant experience
* 5-7 years experience in grant writing and grant management, preferably in the nonprofit sector, and at least 2 years leadership experience, leading and managing a team
* Experience working collaboratively with senior level executives
* Strong research skills and the ability to identify and pursue funding opportunities
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Knowledge of veteran and military spouse issues and a passion for supporting veterans and military spouses in their employment journey
* Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
* Proficiency in grant management software and tools
* Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Work Environment:

* General office environment; temperature controlled
* Routinely uses standard office equipment, e.g. copiers, phones, computers
* Travel Required: Up to 15%
