Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Technician to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals in the Behavioral Health Department. As a Mental Health Technician, you will work under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and assist the nursing staff in providing patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide behavioral health care interventions utilizing the least restrictive interventions that are consistent with a culture of recovery and Trauma Informed Care.
  • Perform vital signs, assist patients with activities of daily living, and assist with treatments or procedures within documented level of competency.
  • Provide for the safety of patients, visitors, and staff by completing routine and special safety checks.
  • Actively participate in quality management activities by timely reporting of staff, family, visitor, or quality concerns.
  • Facilitate or assist with patient community, education, or activity groups and document patient participation.
Requirements
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
  • High School Graduate / GED.
