Job Summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular Surgery Unit. As a member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgery
  • Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans to ensure optimal outcomes
  • Monitor, record, document, and communicate patients' conditions to ensure seamless care
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders to ensure timely and effective care
  • Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs to ensure a smooth transition
  • Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and instructions
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • One year of current acute care RN experience (military RN experience considered)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
