Job Summary

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at UnityPoint Health. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will work closely with providers, nurses, and patient care techs to support patient care needs on our inpatient med/surg unit.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with patient care tasks, including taking vital signs, performing dressing changes, and administering medications
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized plans of care
  • Document patient information and progress in the electronic medical record
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain current knowledge and skills
Requirements
  • Current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire
  • High School graduate or GED equivalent required
  • Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistants
