Job Title: Chief Executive Officer

Junta de Acción Puertorriqueña Inc. is seeking a visionary and experienced Chief Executive Officer to lead our organization in achieving its mission and vision.

About the Role

The Chief Executive Officer will be responsible for developing and implementing the organization's strategic plan, leading the executive management team, and ensuring the effective execution of programs and operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the organization's strategic plan, aligning with the Board of Trustees' vision and mission.
  • Lead the executive management team, providing guidance and support to ensure effective program and operational delivery.
  • Ensure the organization secures necessary resources, including financial, human, and physical/material resources.
  • Represent the organization in policy-related forums, advocating on behalf of the organization and the community.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including individuals, foundations, corporations, and government agencies.
  • Oversee board relations, ensuring active involvement of board trustees in organizational governance and institutional assistance.
  • Partner with the executive management team on program, operations, and development administration and management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in public administration, business administration, community development, social services, or related field.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of senior director-level professional experience, preferably in a non-profit setting.
  • Proven track record in organizational leadership, fundraising, grants management, project management, and financial management.
  • Expertise in board relations, institutional development, external relations, and advocacy.
  • Successful track record of building relationships with external partners to harness organizational resources.
  • Successful track record of developing and administering organizational and program priorities and plans.
  • Successful track record of communicating organizational work and achievements.
  • Experience developing and administering organizational business plans and creating, managing, and reporting on complex budgets for a wide range of programs.
  • Working knowledge of multi-faceted, automated accounting systems, 990s, Certified Audited Statements, and Federal A-133 Statements.
