About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments of inmates to develop and implement effective healthcare plans.
  • Collaborate with the correctional health team to coordinate healthcare services and ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Provide ongoing care and management for inmates with chronic illnesses, including education on self-care and lifestyle modifications.
  • Respond to medical emergencies within the correctional facility and assess and address mental health issues among inmates.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for each inmate and work closely with correctional officers and security staff to ensure a safe environment.
  • Advocate for the healthcare needs and rights of inmates, promoting a culture of compassion and respect.

Requirements:

  • CA state LPT license
  • 1 year of LPT experience
  • Valid CPR/BLS Card from the American Heart Association
  • Proof of negative TB test within the past year
  • Ability to pass a background check
