Job Title: Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT)

Elwyn is seeking a skilled Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) to join our team in residential group homes. As a key member of our care team, you will provide high-quality support to individuals with autism, intellectual, and developmental disabilities.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) will perform general nursing procedures, behavior management, direct care, and training as dictated by the individuals' health and behavioral care needs. This role requires a strong understanding of nursing procedures, behavior management, and individualized support plans.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform nursing procedures as authorized within the scope of practice.
  • Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team and contribute to the development of the Individual Support Plan.
  • Function as lead staff on the shift and oversee DSPs and/or CNAs.
  • Provide active programming at all times.
  • Ensure adherence to standards, procedures, and schedules established by their supervisor.
  • Report any suspicion of or knowledge of suspected abuse in accordance with the law and program policies.
Requirements:
  • Valid California driver's license and acceptable driving history.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Possess and maintain a valid, active license from the State of California to practice as a Licensed Psychiatric Technician.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in the Human Services field preferred.
