Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Services Specialist to join our team at ABM of Ohio. This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our employees and visitors.

About the Role:

  • This position requires a strong work ethic, ability to work independently, and excellent communication skills.
  • You will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining buildings, including floors, walls, windows, and other surfaces.
  • Ensure all areas are tidy and well-organized, adhering to company standards.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
  • Dust and wash furniture, walls, machines, and equipment; clean ceilings and dust and polish light fixtures.
  • Remove stains from such surfaces as rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions.
  • Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications.
  • Strips, seals, finishes, and polishes floors.
  • Clean and vacuums carpeted areas, including application of spot cleaning treatment.
  • Gathers and empties trash.
  • Wipes and cleans tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas.
  • Cleans and polishes furniture and fixtures.
  • Servicing restrooms.
  • Cleaning interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
  • Sprays insecticides and fumigants to prevent insect and rodent infestation.
  • Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events.

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Meet all requirements to receive approval for working in specific ATS environments (if applicable).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Customer Service Experience.
  • 1 year of similar work experience.

Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
