Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Services Representative to join our team at TeamHealth. As a Patient Services Representative, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Registration and Scheduling: Register patients, verify insurance, and ensure accurate billing. Assist with scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records.
  • Patient Advocacy: Create a welcoming environment and act as a patient advocate, providing emotional support and guidance to patients and families.
  • Administrative Support: Handle administrative tasks, assist other departments as needed, and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  • Quality and Safety: Participate in ongoing training and development initiatives, ensure cleanliness and organization in the office and clinical environment, and uphold quality standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Minimum High School diploma, Associates Degree preferred.
  • Experience: 1 year of customer service experience required, 1 to 3 years' experience in a medical office preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, proficiency in using general office equipment and software, strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills, detail-oriented, and a team player with a customer-centric approach.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Job performed in a well-equipped office space.
  • Physical Demands: Moderate physical exertion with occasional lifting and standing, prolonged sitting and computer use, and ability to handle associated health risks related to patient care.
