Position Overview:
As a full-time, non-exempt Pharmacy Technician, you will support various pharmacy operations under the guidance of a licensed pharmacist.
Your duties will encompass the preparation, delivery, and replenishment of medications; conducting order entry; sourcing pharmaceuticals; and managing billing processes.You will execute your responsibilities in accordance with established protocols and guidelines that adhere to pharmacy standards and regulatory mandates.
Work Schedule:
This role entails a commitment of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
About the Facility:
Western State Hospital is an acute care psychiatric facility serving the adult population, operated by the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The hospital caters to the westernmost 34 counties in Kentucky.
All admissions are referred from one of the four Community Mental Health Centers within the four regions of Western Kentucky.
Western is accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC) and certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
CPS Solutions, LLC collaborates with the hospital to oversee the daily operations of this pharmacy. This position is under the employment of CPS.Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Recent experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy setting
KY Pharmacy Technician license is mandatory
PTCB Certification is required
Proficient in computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
