Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Drainage Engineer to join our team at Lochner. As a key member of our transportation infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing effective drainage systems for various projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply knowledge of engineering principles to design and develop drainage improvements for transportation projects.
  • Collaborate with project engineers to layout proposed improvements and ensure accuracy and quality of work.
  • Work with project support staff to complete project requirements and coordinate with reviewers to ensure compliance with design standards.
  • Perform work within project deadlines and communicate effectively with stakeholders through drawings, documents, reports, and verbal exchange.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Utah or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • At least 8 years of experience in drainage design for transportation projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet project deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, and Microsoft Excel, with experience in detention/retention pond design, erosion control/sediment mitigation, and bridge scour analysis preferred.
