Clinical Plasma Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Plasma Specialist to join our team at BioLife Plasma Services. As a key member of our staff, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient collection of plasma from donors.
About the Role:This is an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and detail-oriented individual to make a real difference in the lives of patients with rare diseases. As a Clinical Plasma Specialist, you will be responsible for determining donor eligibility, managing adverse events, reviewing laboratory test results, and notifying donors of unsuitable test results.
Key Responsibilities:- Determine donor eligibility through proper management of informed consent, AIDS education, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and review of Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
- Evaluate donor reactions and follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies, including development of Center Physician's standing orders and donor transport to emergency care facilities.
- Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs when necessary to provide unacceptable findings to donors or guidance concerning medical or technical issues.
- Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
- Manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER.
- High school diploma or equivalent, including graduate-level education in nursing with state requirements.
- Current licensure or certification as a Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state where responsibilities will be assigned.
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification.
- Fulfillment of state requirements for basic IV therapy.
- Satisfactory completion of FDA-approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
- Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.

Our estimated hourly wage range is $25-$35 per hour, depending on qualifications and location.
