Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiology Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Cardiology RN, you will play a critical role in coordinating patient care in our Cardiology Clinic, working collaboratively with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Triage patients' physical symptoms and arrhythmias, consulting with cardiologists as needed.
- Work with assigned cardiologists to manage in-basket, assess for symptoms, and provide patient follow-up.
- Provide pre- and post-operative education for cardiology procedures.
- Educate patients about their cardiovascular condition and explain treatment options.
- Teach patients how to prevent the worsening of cardiovascular conditions and provide resources for self-monitoring.
- Participate in Transition of Care Management to ensure discharge medications and instructions are understood by patients and/or family members.
- Review daily lab/test results, physician tasks, and clinical worklists as assigned.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in California.
- BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association).
- Minimum of two years' experience in a cardiovascular clinic or hospital setting.
- Two years' experience in a critical care or cardiac inpatient unit preferred.
