Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Cardiology Registered Nurse to join our team at MarinHealth Medical Center. As a Cardiology RN, you will collaborate with our experienced healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care in our Cardiology Clinic. Your expertise will be essential in coordinating patient care, assessing patient needs, and implementing effective treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities- Triage patients' physical symptoms and arrhythmias, consulting with cardiologists as needed.
- Work with assigned cardiologists to manage in-basket, assess for symptoms, and provide patient follow-up.
- Provide pre- and post-operative education for cardiology procedures.
- Educate patients about their cardiovascular condition and explain treatment options as directed by the cardiologist.
- Teach patients about self-monitoring and provide resources to prevent the worsening of cardiovascular conditions.
- Participate in Transition of Care Management to ensure discharge medications and instructions are understood by patients and/or family members.
- Review daily lab/test results, physician tasks, and clinical worklists as assigned.
- Support testing center activities, including bubble studies and/or definity.
- Assist the Nurse Supervisor and/or Director on matters relating to nursing practices and participate in policy development.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in California.
- BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association).
- Minimum two years of cardiovascular clinic experience and/or hospital nursing experience.
- Two years of experience in critical care or cardiac inpatient units preferred.
- Two years of experience with telemetry monitoring preferred.
