Job Summary

The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department, ensuring that all guests receive exceptional service and a clean and safe environment throughout their stay. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to motivate and coach Housekeeping personnel to meet high standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure high standards of cleanliness and maintenance.
  • Manage and maintain all housekeeping equipment and supplies, ensuring that they are in good working order and sufficient for the needs of the department.
  • Supervise and train Housekeeping personnel, providing coaching and feedback to ensure they meet the high standards of the department.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Front Office and Engineering, to ensure seamless communication and efficient operations.
  • Monitor and control expenses, ensuring that the department operates within budget.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve guest satisfaction and loyalty, working closely with the Guest Services team.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve departmental operations and guest experience.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field, or a 4-year college degree and at least 1 year of related experience.
  • Supervisory experience required.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and coach staff.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel, with the ability to learn new software and systems quickly.
