Job Title: Mechanical Designer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer to join our team at EPSI- Engineered Pressure Systems International. As a Mechanical Designer, you will play a crucial role in the development of our mechanical products, working closely with our Engineering department to create innovative designs that meet our customers' needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Engineering department to develop product definitions and specifications.
  • Participate in the design and development of mechanical products, including the creation of product specifications, material selection, CAD design, and detailed product drawings.
  • Create and modify 2D and 3D drawing layouts in Autodesk Inventor for use by the Engineering department.
  • Develop detail drawings of piece parts and document designs for product support and efficient development of successive product generations.
  • Generate BOMs for new jobs and/or sub-assemblies using Sage Master Builder software.
  • Interface effectively with customers and vendors to ensure design success.
  • Communicate effectively with other company departments to ensure effective communications of new product development and continuing engineering activities.
  • Recommend design changes that would create or improve products/processes.
  • Assist in the creation of technical manuals and verify the accuracy of designer drawings.
  • Support fellow designers and engineers and act as a technical point of contact.
  • Assist in troubleshooting design problems and perform other job-related duties as required.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in machine and equipment design.
  • Proficiency in Inventor and AutoCAD software.
  • Ability to interpret specifications, recommend design improvements, and execute process improvements.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, organizational, training, and PC skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, be highly motivated, exercise good judgment, and maintain confidentiality.
