As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in transforming our existing monolithic payment system into a cloud-native architecture, utilizing contemporary cloud technologies and industry best practices. This role involves collaborating with diverse teams, including software engineers, architects, and product managers, to define and execute the new architecture for our payment system. You will also champion the integration of DevOps methodologies throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring efficient integration and deployment processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Keep abreast of the latest technologies, frameworks, and trends in payment systems and cloud computing.
  • Design and implement a microservices-based architecture following domain-driven design principles. Leverage Kubernetes for container orchestration and management, ensuring the payment system's scalability, reliability, and high availability.
  • Establish comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to maintain optimal system performance and availability.
  • Develop components for the payment system that are both resilient and highly available.
  • Conduct evaluations of technologies and provide insights on new tools, technologies, and frameworks that can enhance our payment infrastructure.
  • Guide and mentor junior team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in rearchitecting large-scale monolithic applications to cloud-native architectures.
  • 5+ years of programming experience in languages such as Java or Python, along with familiarity with modern frameworks and libraries.
  • 3+ years of experience applying DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools (Kubernetes is essential).
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in the payment domain.
  • 3+ years of experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, including knowledge of serverless architectures, containers, and orchestration (Azure is essential).
  • 2+ years of experience with payment industry standards, protocols, and security best practices.
