Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team at Albany Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and contribute to the development of our patients' treatment plans.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and collection of clinical data.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, taking into account patients' medical histories, current conditions, and treatment goals.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and perform minor surgical procedures as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health literacy and self-management skills.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
- Master's degree in Nursing or related field from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of New York.
- Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification.
- Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
This role requires the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to patients and their families. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team setting, communicate clearly and concisely, and maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
