We are seeking a highly skilled Water Treatment Plant Operator to join our team at the City of Ennis, TX. As a key member of our water utility team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our water treatment facilities, ensuring the delivery of safe and clean drinking water to our community.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain water treatment equipment, including pumps, motors, and valves.
- Monitor and control water quality, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including lubrication, oil changes, and equipment repairs.
- Collect and analyze water samples, identifying any issues or anomalies.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective operation of the water treatment plant.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as environmental science or engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in water treatment plant operation and maintenance.
- Valid Class C Texas driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to obtain TCEQ Water Treatment License Class D within 6 months.
