Hourly Compensation for Registered Nurses: $40.18 - $62.31/hour
- Evening Shift Differential: $3.00/hour

Key Responsibilities:
This role involves caring for critically ill adult patients in a 20-bed unit. Common medical conditions include respiratory failure, Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS), hepatic and renal failure, sepsis, coma, hypertensive crises, gastrointestinal hemorrhage, and complications from cancer or bone marrow transplants.
Utilize the nursing process to deliver primary care to critically ill patients and their families facing complex, multi-system health challenges while participating in health initiatives.
Nursing Framework and Salary:
This position is classified under Nursing Framework LEVEL C. The actual level and salary will be determined upon hiring. Nursing Framework levels range from A to F.
Required Qualifications:
- Current Michigan RN license for candidates who have passed the NCLEX
- Minimum of 18 months of ICU RN experience
Applicants must meet all required qualifications before their employment start date.
Desired Qualifications:
- BSN preferred
- Experience in ICU
- PACU experience
- Charge nurse experience
- Familiarity with electronic documentation
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
- ACLS or CCRN certification
Work Schedule:
Hours: 36 hours per week
Shifts: Night shifts, available in 8 and 12-hour formats

This position is governed by the collective bargaining agreement between the University of Michigan and the Michigan Nurses Association, which addresses all matters related to wages, benefits, hours, and other employment conditions.
