Materials Engineer - Nuclear Applications

The Westinghouse Electric Company, LLC is seeking a Materials Engineer with expertise in nuclear applications to join their Product Engineering (Materials and Fuel Rod Design) group within the Nuclear Fuels and Component Engineering team. The successful candidate will apply knowledge of materials science to support the development of materials for nuclear applications, including translating engineering requirements into test plans, executing test plans, and preparing engineering analyses, calculations, and reports.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in Materials Science or Chemical Engineering, and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Experience with zirconium-based alloys is highly desirable. Strong organizational, planning skills, and attention to detail are essential. The position is based at the Westinghouse Churchill Site and requires an ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Salary: $110,000 per year
