Maintenance Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to join our team at Aegis Worldwide. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our facilities, ensuring that all equipment is in good working order and that our operations run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans to reduce unscheduled downtime and increase productivity
  • Oversee the training and development of maintenance staff, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs effectively
  • Manage the maintenance budget, ensuring that costs are controlled and that resources are allocated efficiently
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and address maintenance-related issues
  • Develop and implement safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees
Requirements:
  • 5-10+ years of maintenance leadership experience
  • At least 4+ years of experience managing salaried level employees
  • Steel industry experience, particularly in a melt shop setting
  • Safety procedure experience, including lock-out-tag out, personal protective equipment, and fall protection
  • Experience working within a union setting
