Job Summary

The Director of Rooms is a key leadership position at The Madison Collective, Los Angeles, responsible for overseeing the Rooms Division and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. This role requires a seasoned hospitality professional with a strong background in hotel operations, leadership, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Supervise and motivate Rooms Division staff to deliver exceptional guest service and maintain high-quality standards.
    • Develop and implement effective training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to improve staff performance.
  • Quality and Compliance
    • Implement and manage daily quality processes to ensure consistent compliance with hotel policies and quality standards.
    • Monitor and analyze guest feedback, comment cards, and service failure measurements to identify areas for improvement.
    • Develop and implement corrective actions to address quality issues and prevent future occurrences.
  • Operations and Administration
    • Oversee the Rooms Division budget, forecasting, and cost controls to ensure efficient operations and maximize revenue.
    • Manage inventory, supplies, and equipment to maintain optimal levels and prevent waste.
    • Coordinate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.
  • Guest Service and Relations
    • Field guest complaints and concerns, and work to resolve issues promptly and professionally.
    • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve guest satisfaction and loyalty.
    • Collaborate with the Front Office and other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Prepare and present regular reports on Rooms Division performance, including key metrics and trends.
    • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them.
    • Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership to inform business decisions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Hotel Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in hotel operations, with a focus on Rooms Division leadership.
  • Proven track record of success in improving guest satisfaction, quality, and revenue.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
