Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Powder Coating Specialist to join our team at Hartford Finishing. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for applying coatings to protect and decorate workpiece surfaces using spray guns. Your attention to detail and ability to match or detect differences between colors will be essential in ensuring high-quality finishes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply coatings to workpiece surfaces using spray guns
  • Mix and clean paint as needed
  • Match or detect differences between colors
  • Set up, clean, and maintain equipment
  • Identify and troubleshoot problems at the paint line
  • Check and identify worn parts on spray guns
  • Examine finished surfaces to verify conformance to specifications
  • Clean surfaces of workpieces in preparation for coating
  • Rinse, drain, or wipe coated workpieces to remove excess coating material
  • Place coated workpieces in ovens or dryers for specified times

Job Qualifications:
  • Attention to detail and ability to match or detect differences between colors
  • Experience with high-volume low-pressure pot and airless spray guns
  • Good math skills and ability to handle materials safely and efficiently
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 60 pounds
  • Visual acuity and ability to match or detect differences between colors
