Job Title: Materials Manager

Anderson Dahlen is seeking a highly skilled Materials Manager to oversee the planning and coordination of our inventory and purchasing departments. This key role will manage the overall shipping and receiving functions, ensuring seamless operations and optimal supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic sourcing activities, including competitive vendor assessments and managing supplier agreements.
  • Collaborate with department managers to identify purchasing needs and develop effective solutions.
  • Monitor inventory levels and access to materials, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing waste.
  • Design and maintain department and inventory budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting and cost control.
  • Manage excess and obsolete materials, implementing strategies for efficient disposal or reuse.
  • Participate in shared services teams, supporting other sites and M&A activities as needed.
  • Establish best practices and processes, implementing them across supported sites.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, or a relevant field.
  • APICS certification desired.
  • 5+ years' experience in a purchasing role, with proven managerial experience.
  • Solid understanding of supply chain and inventory management systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of forecasting and budgeting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Analytical mind with exceptional problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements:

This role will primarily involve operating a computer at a desk in an office environment.
