Job Title: Garage Door Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Garage Door Mechanic to join our team at Eastern Lift Truck Co. in New Jersey. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial overhead steel doors and dock leveling systems.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and assist in the repair of overhead door and dock leveling systems
  • Research and resolve issues to customer satisfaction within policy while interacting effectively with diverse backgrounds
  • Perform commercial and industrial maintenance and repairs on a variety of overhead doors and dock leveling systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems pertaining to the operation of overhead doors and dock leveling systems
  • Work from ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts, wearing PPE and fall protection
Requirements:
  • Experience installing, diagnosing, repairing, inspecting, and maintaining commercial overhead steel doors
  • Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Welding/fabricating experience a plus
  • Individual must have their own tools
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
  • Good driving record and active license
