Job Description

We are seeking a highly qualified Lecturer of Computer Information Systems to join our faculty at Georgia State University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a variety of courses in computer information systems, including programming, data structures, and software engineering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach a minimum of 36 credit hours per academic year in a variety of modalities, including in-person, online, and hybrid courses.
  • Maintain a campus presence and provide student support and academic coaching.
  • Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with the department's goals and objectives.
  • Stay current with industry trends and developments in computer information systems.
Requirements
  • A minimum of a Master's degree in Computer Information Systems or a related field.
  • Experience teaching computer information systems courses at the undergraduate level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse academic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Computer Information Systems or a related field.
  • Experience teaching online courses.
  • Experience with curriculum development and implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of industry trends and developments in computer information systems.
