Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Data Protection Engineer to join our team at Synopsys. As a key member of our cybersecurity team, you will play a critical role in shaping our organization's cybersecurity strategy and protecting sensitive data and systems.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $180,000 - $250,000 per year, depending on location and experience. In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses. Job Description

As a Cybersecurity Data Protection Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing data protection strategies and initiatives to protect sensitive data and systems.
  • Conducting regular data risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and threats to the organization's data and information systems.
  • Designing and implementing effective security frameworks and data protection measures to prevent data breaches and enhance compliance with regulatory requirements.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, Product Development, Legal, Privacy, and Compliance departments, to integrate data security into all phases of system development and deployment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • University degree or equivalent certified education and experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in Cybersecurity Engineering.
  • Extensive experience in data protection, cybersecurity, or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of data protection regulations, standards, and frameworks, including PCI-DSS, HIPAA-HITECH, Sarbanes-Oxley, GDPR, Privacy Practices, ISO 27001/2, NIST CSF/800.53, FedRamp, StteRamp, IEC 62443.
  • Proficiency in data security technologies, including encryption, access controls, and data loss prevention.
