We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Gillette Children's. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the efficient running of our pediatric clinic.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct support to providers during patient visits, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Work collaboratively with the clinical team to deliver high-quality patient care, collecting and documenting pertinent medical information, and preparing patients for examinations.
- Accurately evaluate provider orders and communicate effectively with providers to ensure timely and effective care.
- Provide patient care in accordance with Gillette, Joint Commission, and quality standards, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
- Communicate patient-related data and information to enhance active and informed decision-making by patients, families, nurse colleagues, and other healthcare providers.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Current Medical Assistant certification by either the AAMA (CMA), AMT (RMA), or obtained within 6 months from date of hire.
- Current BLS certification (Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association) or obtain within 90-days of hire.
- Experience in a hospital or clinic environment.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and strong customer service skills.
