Job Summary:

As a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist I at OSF HealthCare, you will play a vital role in our multidisciplinary team, working under the direction of a radiologist to perform radiographic procedures. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, as you will be responsible for performing complex imaging procedures that may require independent judgment and initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.
  • Collect medical history from patients and answer questions regarding the imaging procedure.
  • Operate imaging equipment proficiently and have a firm understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the human body.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of proper imaging techniques in special populations, such as children, the elderly, and patients with debilitating conditions.
  • Collaborate with providers to determine whether additional images are required.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a formal Radiography program with associated certificate or degree.
  • Licensed with IEMA ARRT (R) registry eligible.
  • American Heart Association BLS certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with routine diagnostic procedures in General Radiology.
  • Experience in customer service/patient experience setting.
