Patient Care Technician

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team at DaVita. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients with end-stage renal disease. Your primary responsibility will be to assist our registered nurses in delivering dialysis treatments, ensuring the highest level of patient safety and comfort.
Key Responsibilities- Assist registered nurses in preparing patients for dialysis treatments
- Monitor patients during treatments, taking vital signs and reporting any changes to the nursing team
- Perform routine tasks such as setting up dialysis machines, mixing dialysate, and handling medical supplies
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift and move patients as needed
