Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Nurse Assistant to join our Acute Care Pediatrics team at the University of Virginia Health System. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living to promote optimal recovery and comfort.
  • Perform basic nursing skills and administrative tasks as delegated by a Registered Nurse to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Provide a safe and supportive environment for patients and families, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring timely and effective communication with the healthcare team.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with best practices and industry developments.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • No prior experience necessary, but a strong desire to learn and grow in a dynamic healthcare environment.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS Certification required.
  • Certified to practice as a Nurse Aide in the Commonwealth of Virginia or meet one of the following criteria: successful completion of the UVa PCT Education Program, documented proof of at least 1 year of recent experience in a similar PCT role, or passage of a nationally recognized and accredited PCT Certification exam.
