Job Title: Certified Nurse Assistant

Join the Commonwealth of Virginia team as a Certified Nurse Assistant and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care.

About the Role:

As a Certified Nurse Assistant, you will work under the supervision of medical center professionals to provide high-quality patient care in an inpatient or outpatient setting. Your responsibilities will include assisting patients with personal care, performing basic nursing skills, and maintaining a safe environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients with personal care and promote optimal recovery during hospitalization.
  • Perform basic nursing skills as delegated by an RN and in accordance with policy and procedure.
  • Provide for a safe environment and safe delivery of care.
  • Perform administrative support functions.
  • Maintain necessary skills and competencies.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school graduate or equivalent.
  • No experience required, but relevant experience is preferred.
  • A Certified Nursing Aide certification (CNA) through the Virginia Board of Nursing.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification.
Working Conditions:

This role requires frequent bending/stooping and driving (Home Health Aide only). You will also need to be proficient in communicative, auditory, and visual skills, with attention to detail and the ability to write legibly.

May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids, and infectious disease.
