Role Overview
The Radiation Oncology RN is an essential member of the radiation oncology team, providing patient care and supportive services aimed at achieving optimal patient outcomes.
This position involves:
- Assessing and addressing the nursing needs of patients and their families related to cancer treatment and recovery.
- Offering education, counseling, and support to help patients and families navigate their diagnosis and treatment.
The RN will:
- Work collaboratively with the radiation oncology team to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Provide clinical assessments, nursing consultations, and education regarding oncology care and radiation therapy.
Qualifications Required:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.
- Registered Nurse with an Associate Degree.
- A minimum of three years of nursing experience is preferred.
- OCN Certification is advantageous.
