Innovation Works is a cutting-edge technology company developing a revolutionary laser-based security device. Our innovative technology uses multiple low-power lasers to cause temporary visual disruption, providing users with a new tool to deter intruders and potentially aggressive suspects.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Engineer / Manager to lead the development of our product. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and building the product, taking the lead in finding suppliers, and guiding the technical direction of the product based on customer feedback.
Key Responsibilities:- Product Design & Planning: Manage, plan, and coordinate the development of new products, enhancements of existing products, and technical solutions based on customer feedback.
- Gathering and Prioritizing Product and Customer Requirements: Define the product vision, gather and prioritize product and customer requirements, and communicate with US armed forces and law enforcement personnel.
- Customer Engagement: Meet and work closely with the scientific (laser) team, plan and coordinate tests to ensure safety and effectiveness of the system.
- Working with Engineering: Determine roadmaps and deadlines for new products and product enhancements, considering priority, customer needs, financial limitations, staffing requirements, and availability of resources.
- Developing Sales Forecasts: Implement pricing schedules that provide revenue and margins growth while remaining competitive in the market.
- Education: Masters or bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science is required.
- Experience: 4+ years of experience working in a similar or comparable role.
- Technical Skills: Experience developing engineered/scientific products is strongly preferred, with a focus on optics or lasers or hands-on electronic engineering experience.
- Soft Skills: Strong written, oral, and presentation skills.
