Cardiovascular Care Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Telemetry Nurse in the Cardiology Department at Frye Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the development of a positive work environment.
About the Role:This is a full-time, night shift position with 12-hour shifts. You will work closely with patients who have undergone cardiac catheterization procedures, monitoring their vital signs and providing critical care interventions as needed. Your expertise and compassion will make a significant impact on the lives of our patients and their families.
Responsibilities:- Perform plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatment.
- Document patient care given.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assist patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborate as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A current state RN license.
- A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
- Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
- ACLS and PALS certifications within six months of hire.
- At least one year of experience in cardiology or telemetry nursing is preferred.
- ASLS certification is preferred.
