Position SummaryThe Fire Sprinkler Technician will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections, maintenance, and service of fire sprinkler systems and alarms. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity and functionality of fire safety equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Responding to service requests and conducting on-site evaluations.
- Performing inspections on various fire sprinkler systems, including wet, dry, anti-freeze, and pre-action systems, as well as fire pumps and hydrants.
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing fire sprinkler systems in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
- Executing system tests and inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Providing immediate troubleshooting and repair services for fire protection equipment.
- Documenting service activities with accurate and timely reports.
- Delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining effective communication with clients.
- Ensuring a safe and organized work environment at all times.
- Collaborating effectively with administrative staff, sales teams, customers, and management.
- Completing additional tasks as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in fire safety inspections is required.
- Ability to independently inspect and service fire alarm and sprinkler systems.
- Strong customer service skills for effective interaction with clients.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Fluency in English is required.
- A valid Driver's License with a clean driving record is mandatory.
- Certification as Utah AF2 or equivalent NICET.
- Certification as a Utah Backflow Assembly Tester.
