Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership
- Oversee and direct special initiatives, including crafting reports for governmental meetings, opinion pieces, and literature reviews as directed by the CEO or Executive team.
- Remain updated on relevant issues pertaining to our mission and public systems, such as child welfare, behavioral health, juvenile justice, and education.
- Conduct research and provide insights on forthcoming legislation impacting our clients and families, along with delivering metrics as required by management.
- Assist in formulating annual goals for the agency and departments, track progress, and compile year-end summary reports.
Communication and Community Engagement
- Strengthen communication with community partners through various outreach channels.
- Support the creation and upkeep of communication platforms, including the website, social media, and internal newsletters.
- Generate content—such as posts, videos, and stories—for social media and other outreach efforts.
Grant Management
- Engage in the development of federal, state, and local grants, including identifying grant opportunities and preparing submissions.
- Ensure effective management of grants, including reporting, adjustment applications, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Exceptional writing and communication skills are essential.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in social work, public policy, political science, law, public health, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in project management, nonprofit administration, or similar roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with child welfare and mental health systems is advantageous.
- A sense of humor and the ability to adapt quickly are valued.
- Demonstrated persistence and flexibility are important.

- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues with sound judgment.
- Experience in coordinating project activities.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills utilizing critical thinking.
- Diplomatic communication skills that positively represent the agency, both verbally and in writing.

- Capable of preparing various reports, logs, records, and documentation.
- Excellent writing skills for drafting letters, memos, and related correspondence.

Work Environment, Position Details, and Compensation:
- This role is hybrid, requiring the ability to work in the office as necessary.
- Must effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects while navigating constant interruptions.
- Extended hours may be necessary to meet departmental deadlines.
- Salary range: $68,000-$74,000, commensurate with experience, including a competitive benefits package and performance-based compensation.
