We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the University of Louisville. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, fabricating, and characterizing microsensor arrays, micropreconcentrators, and microreactors for environmental air and breath analysis applications.
Key Responsibilities- Research and Development: Plan and execute research experiments, analyze experimental data, and update research notebooks.
- Literature Review: Read and stay up-to-date with relevant literature in the field of microsensor array development, environmental air monitoring, and breath analysis.
- Manuscript Preparation: Prepare manuscripts and written reports on research findings.
- Presentations: Deliver oral presentations at local, national, and international meetings.
- Training and Mentoring: Train graduate and undergraduate students in research techniques and methodologies.
- Education: PhD or PhD/MD degree in Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: Previous working experience in microfabrication, microfabricated gas sensor arrays, micropreconcentrators, and microreactors, GC-MS, and UHPLC-MS is preferred.
- Skills: Project planning and execution, manuscript preparation, statistical analysis, data interpretation, and troubleshooting.
- Lab Environment: Work in a lab-based environment with regular exposure to chemicals, solvents, and other hazardous materials.
- Physical Demands: Intermittently sit, stand, stoop, and walk.
