Job Summary

The University of Louisville is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join our research team. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for fulfilling the aims of funded research projects for developing microsensor array, micropreconcentrators and microreactors with a focus on either detection and real-time monitoring of trace volatile organic compounds in environmental air or lab developed breath analysis test for diagnosis of target diseases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and fabricate microsensor array, micropreconcentrators and microreactor
  • Characterize and analyze environmental air or breath samples using the microfabricated devices
  • Analyze data to identify compounds and determine the concentrations of compounds
  • Prepare presentations reports, and manuscripts

Requirements

  • PhD or PhD/MD degree in the field of Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical engineering
  • Previous working experience in microfabrication, microfabricated gas sensor array, micropreconcentrator and microreactor, GC-MS and UHPLC-MS, I-V meters is preferred
