The candidate should also have extensive knowledge of compliance frameworks and methodologies, including:

  • NIST SP800 53 Rev 4 & 5
  • CJIS Security Policy
  • The Privacy Act of 1974
  • HIPAA regulations
  • FERPA guidelines

We seek a collaborative individual who can contribute to strategic planning and implement tactical solutions effectively. The role requires a willingness to act as a risk management expert, ensuring that risk factors are properly evaluated and prioritized.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess audit responses in relation to risk rating changes.
  • Utilize expertise in risk identification and control evaluation methodologies.
  • Maintain a general understanding of the Secure Application Development Lifecycle (SADLC) and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exhibit self-motivation and attention to detail.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Lead cybersecurity initiatives and projects.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity roles.
  • Strong familiarity with NIST SP80053 Rev 4 & 5, HIPAA, and FERPA.
  • Experience with IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments.
  • Ability to provide insightful risk management input.
  • Proficient in risk and controls questionnaire methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity or a related field.
  • Relevant cybersecurity certifications.
