Job Title: Senior Cost Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Estimator to join our team at Turner & Townsend. As a Senior Cost Estimator, you will be responsible for providing cost management and estimating services to our clients across various construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement cost management strategies to ensure projects are delivered within budget.
  • Provide accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including conceptual, programming, and detailed levels.
  • Assist in the preparation of feasibility studies and the application of parametric benchmark cost data.
  • Conduct benchmarking studies, analyze cost data, and present findings in reports.
  • Undertake cost assurance of third-party estimates, report writing, and presentation.
  • Manage procurement processes, including pre-qualification, bid analysis, and contractual document preparation.
  • Participate in post-contract cost variances and change control processes.
  • Manage cost checks, valuations, and ensure timely and accurate cost checking and valuation processes.
  • Prepare and present monthly cost reports to clients.
  • Contribute to value engineering and options analysis.
  • Maintain liaison with clients and other consultants throughout project stages.
  • Provide leadership to cost management commissions and ensure delivery of accountabilities.
  • Identify opportunities for new business with existing clients and report to line managers.
  • Develop and implement improvements to cost estimating and cost management procedures, templates, and products.
  • Provide leadership and training to estimating teams as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Technical Requirements:
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, CostX, and Bluebeam.
  • Competency in industry estimating databases and other estimating data sources.
  • Educational and Professional Qualifications:
  • College degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Cost Manager on real estate projects is required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Self-starter with goal/results-oriented leadership and team player skills.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills.
